HW: Favicon

A favicon is an icon associated with a URL that is variously displayed, as in a browser's address bar or next to the site name in a bookmark list. For example these little icons:

A favicon is what catches the audience's attention and is like a mini logo for the website. To create one you would usually need to know what the context is gonna be so how is it gonna look and at first it may look weird and pixelated but when in it's actual size it will look different. You need to know the sizes you are going to use such as 16px which is used in general browsers, 72px which is the iPad home screen icon, etc. You need to know what formats is needed such as PNG, GIF, JPG, SVG, etc. and at last export your piece of beauty. Favicons are important if you are really into website building for businesses.
